How will the editing files come?
You have two choices:
1. On a Hard Drive - send us a PC / Mac compatible Hard drive and we will load the files onto this. If no hard drive is supplied then we will record the footage on DVDs in the other format described in the Quote / Order. Eg if it states AVI/MPEG then you will be supplied MPEG if no drive is sent. If no other format is specified for digital files then the default is MPEG.
2. On DVD's - we'll burn the files onto DVDs (that we supply). Note: This is only available for a maximum of 120 mins (2 hrs) off running time. The files will come as one single file. If required, we may split these into several smaller files if we think it maybe too big to manage. We will leave short gaps between reels of film so it is obvious when you come to chop up the clips in your editing software.
NOTE: We also supply you with a 'reference' DVD. This will be a normal playable DVD that you can play in your normal DVD player. We supply this free so you can view the transferred footage quickly without all the messing around with loading editing files.
What File Format Should I choose ?
There many digital formats. Firstly check what editing software you are using. Then look at the list below to see what format is acceptable for your software.
For example, say you are using Windows Media Player then the format Video to WMV will be the best format.

AVI: 640 X 480 (no more than 4gb in file size)
MPEG2 : 720 x 576 (no more than 4gb in file size)
MOV: As above for transfers or at higher resolution below at extra cost
SD: 720 x 576 (Pro-Res 442)
HD: 1280 x 720 (Pro-Res 4444 HD)
HD: 1440 x 1080 (Pro-Res 4444 HD)
HD: 1920 x 1080 (Pro-Res 4444 HD)
